WAR CHAMPION....2007 Bay Colt by the promising up and coming first crop sire "PICO
CENTRAL" (Brz Champion Horse Of The Year and U.S. GSW Speed & Distance horse) out of a
very good solid mare I'll Bedazzled. This colt is bred for speed but dam's side suggest route . His half
brother (same dam) is the speedy "Sky Champion", who unfortunately was plagued by a specifiic
throat issue and was electrifyingly fast, racing at allowance level at Calder. His other half brother
"Tatnall Street" won going two turns, wire to wire fashion (Delaware Park MSW) in debut and was
reputed to be a Breeders Cup possibility, after winning so impresively. However, he sustained an
injury shortly thereafter and was out for sometime and then came back to race creditably in a race
won by Niacanor (Barbaro's full brother). Thereafter, the same issue became problematic. Other half
brother by Exchange Rate was 3 wins for 3 starts before career ending accident. Dam simply puts
out Solid, Quality individuals. On dams side this colt should stay a distance of ground and shows that
capability in works where he gets stronger as he goes along. This colt is still developing and has the
stamp of Pico Central. He is currently training very forwardly, showing talent, speed and stamina. He
has a good temperament, no vices or bad habit and is just a very competitive individual. In training he
drops his head and takes a strong hold of the bit with much eagerness and awareness. He is a
competitor and likes company very much. He currently breezed a sizzling 3/8's in 37 at training
center, which on an average horses clock 38 or 39 at this location. He has a current 5/8's breeze as
of 1/08/10. Since pictures below, he has become solid looking. He is pretty much race ready for the
upcoming 2010 peak racing season. Sire is off to a good start with 5 winners from 10 runners with
notaries such as Marquet Madness and stakes placed Pico Pico.
