Smoke Bracken... B.G.(2003) Smoke Glacken / Avalon Trick (Clever Trick)
03 Chestnut by current Red Hot Sire Smoke Glacken, out of Avalon Trick (Clever Trick) This son of Smoke
Glacken was a Keeneland Sept 04 60k purchase, he was small at the time being a May foal, but had a big walk
and still brought a good price. He was reputed to possibly bring 200k if he was up to size at the time. Since then
hit a growth spurt being a late foal and has gotten taller and bigger, at 16.1 H and really come into his own. He
has very good conformation which aids in minimizing chances of injury. Nice clean legs ! He breezes on a regular
basis and has raced green in his races, but proving to be conistent at MSW by finishing 3rd three times at 6
furlongs and second over a mile, with Monster horses in from Churchill. He was very unlucky not to win mile race
in which he was interferred with down the lane. We never pushed him, as he has shown much talent, but at the
same time given sometime off because of his greeness, which was evident in his races. He is ready to race again
after some maturing and should be better than before. Smoke Glacken foals seem to run late as with the case
with a few older offsprings such as Carthage etc. His Sire Smoke Glacken is the sire of Read The Footnotes etc.
He is very well bred and being by a Clever Trick mare, suggests Speed on Speed and has shown to carry that
speed over the distance. This is the dams first foal, but the second dam onwards has produced Stakes Winners.
Lot's of Black Type in there. He has a High Quality Werk Nick Rating "A" Q5, being exceptionally bred. This is a
very versatile horse...Race Ready ! This horse is an ideal candidate to turn a quick profit with, as this is what we
do because of the rarity and demand for sound, talented horses for a quick return on clients investment. He is
Correct and Sound...Not a Pimple on him !
